Free association.. Good idea but my problem is that I am always censoring the intrusive thoughts that fight to gain prominence in my mind. I dare not free associate. I would be fired!

I loved the movie Lantana, but I remember the first time that Corey and I went to Mexico for our honeymoon how surprised I was to see lantana just growing wild everywhere. It has to be planted here. But the strain that we have is particularly hardy and has spread like crazy. I love it.

Isn’t the sound a loon makes just eerie?

I love Li-Young Lee’s poems, and that particular poem has already reminded me of my own father.

Hi Lita,
A lovely list of L’s. Liars are worse than thieves as far as I am concerned.
Labs are always big, clumsy, affectionate and totally lovable.
Lantana is beautiful and also the title of an Australian film which stars Anthony LaPaglia.
Loons. I have never heard of them before today but they sound mysterious.
I too will never stop learning and relish any opportunity to learn something new.
I love walking on dry leaves in Autumn.
Lockets are beautiful and a reminder of another place in time.
Li -Young Lee – how can I explain the feelings this poem evokes?

Thanks so much for commenting. Labs really are wonderful dogs. I’ve never had a yellow lab because I guess I just love black ones so much. That’s not to say that I woudn’t own a yellow one or a chocolate one! Peach is a great name for a dog. I’ll bet that she’s very sweet, too. Please keep visiting.

I love your list! My landlord just got a yellow lab puppy a few days ago…so cute! He reminds me of my parent’s yellow lab, Peach, and makes me miss them…
