“Destiny is a good thing to accept when it’s going your way. When it isn’t, don’t call it destiny; call it injustice, treachery, or simple bad luck.” ~ Joseph Heller

What this week has been like: Like someone asked me to do calculus while standing under a ladder with an open umbrella, a black cat in heat, and a broken mirror in my back pocket, not to mention the math final that I forgot about and the big rip in the seat of my pants . . . and for good measure, I feel fat and ugly, and my mother dresses me funny. Did I mention the bullseye that I’m sure is painted on my forehead?
