Today I awoke to no power, which really mystified me as I had paid the power bill yesterday. Of course, couldn’t get online to check anything, so I spent an inordinate amount of time on hold trying to talk to people. Finally got everything resolved only to be told that power would be restored sometime today, which in customer service parlance meant before midnight . . . I did paperwork by flashlight and read magazines with a teenie tiny book light. The dogs were sooo confused.
