Wordless Wednesdays . . . almost . . .

My family trips were more than a weekend jaunt to the shore. We traveled all over Europe when I was a child, including a journey through Spain on our way back from a visit to Morocco. After watching some dancers in the street outside our hotel (which was named The White Horse–I have no idea why I remember that), I begged for a Flamenco costume—it was white with black polka dots; they bought it along with a set of castanets. When I came across this short film on Vimeo, I wanted to share it as it stirred so many memories.

Today is the birthday of Irish poet and playwright Oscar Wilde
(October 16, 1854November 30, 1900).

  1. I enjoyed the video very much and i loved the music. I always wanted to travel when i was younger. I managed to go to California and walk across the border to Mexico with friends. That was 1972. I lived out there about seven months. Now i don’t want to leave my surroundings. Things do change with time. It is getting chilly here but better than the 90s.

    1. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I was happy to come across the video when I was looking for something to post. It brought back some good memories from my childhood. Once my parents and I left England, things were different. Looking back, I see that now. I understand completely what you mean about not wanting to leave now. Time changes us. That being said, though, I still want to do a trip across the UK, especially England so that I can show Corey all of the things from my childhood. But then, perhaps not as I know that you can’t go back as everything changes.
