“The world is not respectable; it is mortal, tormented, confused, deluded forever; but it is shot through with beauty, with love, with glints of courage and laughter; and in these, the spirit blooms timidly, and struggles to the light amid the thorns.” ~ George Santayana
Just a brief update: I was in the middle of playing around with my format when the Internet conked out, which means that I was unable to finish the changes I wanted to make. Still not sure if I’m going to stick with this Coraline theme, or choose something else. Too many factors to make a quick decision.
Anyway, hoping that Internet service comes back tomorrow. I’m typing this in the middle of the computer lab at the student center at ODU while Brett is in class. I didn’t want to leave the image at the top of my blog forever without any explanation.
My own computer is still sitting forlornly beneath my desk awaiting its new motherboard and incipient reload. It’s going to cost $100 to get the mb installed; I can understand why Corey doesn’t want to chance it.
By the way, tomorrow is my big hearing with the Social Security judge who will decide this juncture of my fate. I love having no control over my life . . .
So that’s my life in a very brief nutshell for the moment. Back tomorrow with any luck.
More later. Peace.
